About DegenLand
DegenLand is a mining simulation game set in a cyberpunk megacity. Every player has a garage-home to turn into a hardware farm: graphics cards, rigs and ASIC servers working alongside those of the whole city.
The idea
We wanted a mining game that is easy to understand, honest with its numbers and nice to look at. No promises of profit: a set of clear, published rules that are the same for everyone.
The farm
Your home has racks with four slots each. Every day you power up the farm with a short video, or with an extension that keeps it running for several days. Each time the farm starts, every installed and working miner counts one worked block: the unit used to measure its output and its wear. You choose whether the farm mines SOL, which you can withdraw, or game tokens, which you can spend right away.
The miners
- Pixel: the welcome graphics card. It never breaks.
- Bit Buddy: a dual-fan GPU, the first step.
- Nebula: a compact, reliable ASIC.
- Quasar: an open rig with two GPUs.
- Pulsar: a six-GPU rig for serious farms.
- Singularity: the flagship ASIC server.
All miners except the Pixel wear out: once past their estimated lifespan they may break, and repairs cost 30% of the price in tokens.
The pool and the seasons
SOL rewards come from a shared pool. Each pool lives through a season paced by the blocks of all players: halvings at 100,000, 300,000 and 600,000 blocks, closing at 1,000,000. At each halving the output of existing miners is halved and a new generation arrives at full output. When the pool closes, the season's miners are scrapped for token credit, up to 50% of the price paid, to spend in the next pool. The percentage depends on the pool's conditions and never drops below 10%.
What DegenLand is not
It is not an investment, not a real mining service, and it does not promise profits. Rewards are not guaranteed and the value of SOL may change. Play it for fun.
